Hello Curry

Some of the new eats I get to try are the doings of the bf.  He has introduced me to an array of food, one of them being Japanese curry.  At first I thought to myself, "Whaaaat? There's a Japanese curry?" when he ordered it at the first place I was graced by the presence of this dish, Furaibo in the City of Industry.  I wasn't sure what to expect since curry wasn't a dish that I ordered on the regular but with one taste of the bf's Japanese curry over pork katsu and rice, a new favorite was added to my list.

One of the things I love doing is trying to re-create dishes I have tried at home and the re-creation of Japanese curry was made possible by a friend who introduced Golden Curry Sauce Mix into our lives.  With simple ingredients and directions to this sauce mix all you have to do it chop, boil, mix, and hello you got yourself yum in the tum. The version I made this past Easter Sunday contains ground beef, onions, potatoes, and carrots but you can alter the choice of meat and other ingredients to your liking.  You can purchase heaven in a box at your local Japanese market, 99 Ranch, Marukai, and even Fresh n' Easy!  But I suggest either the market, 99, or Marukai for the deals. One box of this stuff and you'll have baon for days.

I heart Japanese food,

Thea
