Kiss my Abbott

Abbott' Pizza Company
1811 Pico Blvd
Santa Monica, CA 90405

This place reminded me of those pizza joints in movies where it's "The Max" type spot for after school eats. Ironically it's located across from Santa Monica City College, so yes there are a lot of students getting their pizza fixes after school.

Apparently Abbott's is known for its' health friendly Salad Pizza. But we didn't go for healthy, we ordered their Meat Eater's Pizza: Sausage, Pepperoni, Ham and switched out the tomato sauce for alfredo. Honestly it probably would have tasted much better if we had got our order on time. Service that day was pretty wack. It was good, not spectacular though. I'm all for esthetics though and I liked the setting of the place. But here food overrules esthetics in food blogs. Sorry Abbott's maybe it was bad day.

Kiss my Bundt
8104 W 3rd St.
Los Angeles, CA 90048

Located just a few blocks away from The Grove, you can find this little bakery that makes bundt cakes of all sizes and flavors. The baby and mini bundts are just the cutest little things. We stuck with the babies and tried german chocolate, passion fruit, and of course red velvet. Reese ordered the passion fruit which was interesting for the palate. The bundt and custard molded together to create that sweet tarty flavoring then it was complimented by the coconut shaving topping. Delicious and cute if you decide to switch it up you cupcake enthusiasts.
