here, there and everywhere

I'm not big on the food posts nor do i take pics but ive had the opportunity to try a bunch of yummy spots lately. so here's a few

Toast Bakery Cafe
8221 West 3rd St
Los Angeles CA 90048

So i went here for brunch, let me tell you. If you want to know where the angelenos grub on a saturday morning. Then this is the spot. Wasn't too hard to get a seat but we just missed rush hour a little before 1100 a.m. but parking can be a little b. But if worse comes to worse there's always valet. But yea everything basically looked delish.
My friend got the Penne Mattina which is a pasta with scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, kalamata olives and feta cheese tossed in a light olive oil with fresh garlic and pesto. I'm not gonna lie, I totally wanted to eat his food. I went for the reserved and cautious route and got a grilled croisant sandwich with a side of potatoes. Nevertheless it was still tasty. But yea, I'd def want to try this place for lunch and dinner

Cobras & Matadors

Los Angeles, CA 90036

I swear everything in this restaurant was soooo scrumptious. Most definitely try the bacon wrapped dates. Its pretty much amazing in your mouth. Also one of the best risottos I've tasted. Basically a tapas bar so its a great place to bring a date and share foodsies. Plus you can bring your own wine without any corkage fee. Totally didn't know that and looked like a dumbass trying to get a wine menu but they told us to go across the street and buy a bottle hahah!

Made reservations for this spot at 7 and they were basically giving me a hard time cause we were running a little late. So that was a total bummer but we got there semi- on time and there seriously was 5 tables open! ughhh! whatever. Nontheless we ordered some pretty unique beers that I've never heard of before and checked out their menu, which is changed daily. Ordered the hamachi tostada, sweet bread, moco loco and pork belly sliders. Definitely some super small portions but it kinda took so long for them to bring everything out that we weren't even hungry anymore. Got the famous bacon crunch bar for dessert. Overall this place is over-rated and over-priced. But I guess it was a good experience. P.S. sweet bread isnt really bread
