Scoops
712 N. Heliotrope Dr.
Los Angeles, CA 90029
With all the yogurt craze that's taken over what we know as life it's nice to visit the fatty foreign cousin of ice cream once in a while, Gelato. Sure you're use to your basic gelato flavors chocolate, strawberry, tiramisu, spumoni but when you walk into Scoops it's on a whole other level. Located in the Bicycle District off Heliotrope and Melrose, it always a must whenever we're in the area. Scoops offers flavors one can only wish they though of first. Some of their flavors that I've tried are Oreo Caramel, Salty Caramel, Chocolate Guiness, Bacon Caramel, Thai Iced Tea, Strawberry Balsamic, Peanut Butter Chocolate, and of course their infamous Brown Bread which to this day I still don't know what's in it. Some other flavors that have been concocted are Honey Salt, Vanilla Jim Beam, Olive Oil, and anything you wanna see in that freezer just put it on the suggestion board. Along with their gelato they also serve vegan based flavors which are pretty tasty as well, makes you not miss the cream one bit. $3.75 for two scoops, cash only.
