Eat Pray Love

Initially my goal was to finish the book before I watched the movie. Well that definitely wasn't going to happen with school work overruling my down time. But I couldn't help but not watch the movie today with the girls. The movie pretty much lassoed me with interest at my first watch of the trailer.

The film was beautifully filmed, well casted, and well acted. From the parts of the book I did get to, hollywood did its best to not over tweak it. It was not only delightful, but I my stomach yearned for cuts of prosciutto and red wine. Not to mention the movie's soundtrack has one of my all time favorites, Marvin Gaye's Got to Give it Up and music from the timeless Joao Gilberto & his daughter Bebel.

I'm going to embrace the obvious and say that this movie did speak to women in search of something. That 'something' doesn't have to be love, a career, or self worth. It was just a general message of, just to let go and 'Attraversiamo'. It made me realize that I'm at a good place in my life right now and I'm so happy to have those around me to be a part of it.

I want to travel, I want to marvel, I want to eat, I want to pray, I want to love. I have so many wants that some day will come into shape. But for now I'm living.

P.S: Yes this movie/book is currently changing my life.
