I've finally gotten the pleasure to watch An Education. It stars the beautiful Carey Mulligan (where she received an Oscar nod this year for her role), Peter Sarsgaard, Emma Thompson, and Dominic Cooper. It's a coming of age story that takes place in 1961 England. I honestly love the 60s and how people dressed, girls in elegant dresses and guys in dashing fitted suits. Adding the British accents in this film just made more tres chic. I absolutely love Carey in this movie and she made the role so relatable. Peter Sarsgaard made it easy to fall in love with his character just how Jenny did. They also pulled at my heartstrings with its' Jane Eyre references. England was filmed beautifully and made me more eager to see it in person. Along side the enchanting cinematography was the film's soundtrack. It was jazzy and classy, just how I would love my life's soundtrack to be.
It's a great film, I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did. I'm contemplating on buying the dvd and making it a part of my favorites.
