Over the past week and a half I got the chance to hit up an old favorite and a few new ones. Instead of individually posting these spots I thought I'd just make one mega-post. Sorry for the blurryness in some pics, still not use to my sister's camera. K, enough of the blah blah blah let's get to the food!
Cham Soot Gol - Garden Grove, CA
As a kid, my parents always told me that we use to eat at Korean BBQ places but I could never for the life of my remember that we did. So you can kind of say that I was re-introduced to KBBQ about two years ago when I ate at Cham Soot Gol in Garden Grove for the first time and ever since then it's been the go to place for All You Can Eat KBBQ. For about $17, you get your choice of various meats such as brisket, pork belly, and marinated meats along with various sides and your choice of soup.
One of the best things about this place is dessert. At Cham Soot Gol it's about that legit stuff, none of that water-based yogurt machine shit. I'm talking about scoop your own Thrifty Ice Cream. The flavors vary from time to time but they stick to the basics: strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, the occasional green tea, and if I'm lucky mint chip.

My Delight Cupcakery - Ontario, CA
I'm always on the hunt for a great cupcake place and when I heard that there was one in Ontario I had to check it out for myself. Located right off the Mountain Ave exit on the 10 freeway My Delight Cupcakery offers classic cupcake flavors like Red Velvet and Chocolate Chocolate and also their very creative twists such as White Champagne and Peanut Butter & Jelly. Although, the one flavor that I was most excited to try was their infamous Breakfast Cupcake.
We're talking a light buttermilk cupcake with bits of applewood smoked bacon baked right into it, topped with maple frosting and more bacon! Can you get any better than that? Hell effing no. Ugh, talking about it is making my mouth salivate for it's baconey goodness. But if you want to get your hands on these little globs of heaven you got to act fast because they sell out like a motherfucker. I had first hand experience when I got super moded the first time I went there.
Prices:

Frosted Cupcakery - Los Angeles, CA
I seriously can't get enough cupcakes... it's an addiction that I must feed. Frosted Cupcakery is located a few blocks away from Hollywood Blvd on Highland and Lexington. Their flavors include the classics and their creations as well but what makes me love this cupcakery is the moistness of their cupcakes. One Frosted cupcake and a tall glass of soy milk and I am set for life. Made a trip there this past weekend and picked up a half dozen babies.
Top Row (left to right): Chocolate/ Caramel Buttercream Toffee, Cookies n' Cream, Royal White/ Nutella Buttercream. Bottom Row (left to right): Mint Chip (my fave!), Lemon/ Cream Cheese, Strawberry/ Cream Cheese. ($2.95 per cuppycake.)

The Cookie Mill - Azusa, CA
Cookies and ice cream are a match made in fat kid heaven and what better way to put them together than in an ice cream sandwich. My first make your own ice cream sandwich experience was at Diddy Riese in Westwood, so when my friend told me there was a place that did the same thing but way closer to where I live we jumped on the opportunity to try it. The Cookie Mill offers freshly baked cookies and yummy ice cream and for $2 you can put these two together and make your own sammich. You can choose from a variety of cookies like Chocolate Chip, Sugar, Double Chocolate, and Oatmeal Raisin as well as an assortment of ice cream flavors. The directions are simple: 1) Choose any two cookies 2) Choose an ice cream flavor to go in between these cookies 3) Cough up 2 bucks 4) Enjoy.
