Reese & I failed this day to try Cafe Bizou's dineLA lunch menu. Apparently there they have certain open business hours, which we failed to look up prior to heading out. We then trekked over to Weho to try Taste's dinela menu, sadly we fell late on their lunch and short on their dinner dinela menus. We then settled for their snack menu. It was tastey but nothing extraordinary. But I do like the idea of carne asada pizzas, looks and sounds easy enough to make at home.

Now this is a restaurant that I've been meaning to blog about for a long time. Have you ever been asked the question: What would your last meal on earth be? Well mine would definitely be Shabu Shabu.
Yojie Japanese Fondue & Sake is very sleek and sophisticatedly styled restaurant located in the heart of downtown LA. The interior design is the ideal setting to dine with whom ever and whenever you please. They also have the perfect dining soundtrack to accompany your meal and convo. If you're also an art aficionado, Yojie features many talented artist's work on their walls that are for sale. It's a fine dining experience with an awesome cool factor.
The restaurant specializes in serving Shabu Shabu. I'm shabu fanatic and I've had some good and bad shabu. But Yojie is definitely top of the line. I'm really trying not sound so generic, but I'm pretty serious about shabu and Yojie is golden. It may be a bit pricey but shabu is generally a little pricey. And at Yojie you're certainly getting great quality food and service.
Their sliced marbled beef are beautifully cut and are delicious when cooked. Their veggies are fresh. And their ponzu and seasame sauces are perfection. When dealing with shabu, the two things I look for are the quality of meat and the taste of their ponzu, and Yojie does not let me down. If you're a first time shabu-shabu-er, there are instructions on the table and the staff are also great at helping you. It's a real simple process, and you'll find the experience all the better.
Yojie also has good bar selection. They have some innovative and tasty cocktails that'll turn a night into a great one. When it comes to desserts, can you say mouth watering? Their green tea white chocolate fondue, which you see featured below, can satisfy every inch of your sweet tooth. I believe they also have different mochi's and ice creams that add to their other delectable desserts.
I highly recommend Yojie in LA as you're next dining destination. They are also feature on dineLA, so catch them while it's still going on. Their dineLA menu is quite the steal.
